Reviews on Best Porsche 997 Diagnostic and Programming Tool

By ICARSCAN at 2020-02-24 06:14:02

Have Porsche 997 /911, I have plans for swapping some parts like steering wheel to a 991 and other things. How to choose a diagnostic tool and programming tool?

Options and reviews on diagnostic and programming tool for Porsche 997:

1.   PIWIS 3 tester review

Piwis 3 is for 2002 and upwards Porsche cars , it will do every car including the newer ones ..

Its disadvantage is its price is about 2000usd.

2.   Piwis 2 tester review

Piwis 2 is what i use along with autologic.

If you can afford a Piwis 2 then that’s the best option .. it is what OPC used until a couple of years or so ago .
Warning ..
You can do immense damage if you mess around with it .. do NOT touch programing or auto coding .. basically ask first.

Piwis 2 tester price makes it a must have (759USD).

I bought the PIWIS 2 and a laptop and everything.

PS: get a USB extender to protect the port .. it stops future problems with the computer usb port .
you can now do everything i can

3   Foxwell NT530 Porsche scanner reviews

1). If you want something with good diagnostic capabilities and ( limited) programming capability at a very reasonable price ( 189USD) then you can’t go past the Foxwell NT530. It has Porsche capabilities, nt530 can be used for other vehicles as well. I used it to e.g. disable the rear spoiler lift after fitting a ducktail.

2) Have just purchased the Foxwell NT520 PRO and downloaded the Porsche specific ap, and can confirm that I successfully disabled the active rear spoiler on my 997.2 (having previously installed the Flying Ducktail). Decided the lifted flying ducktail looked a bit extreme, although I didn’t notice any adverse handling in the lifted position.

3) I bought the Foxwell to get rid of the seatbelt chime and I was able to code those other things. The $170 was worth it to me to turn the chime off. The faster you drive the louder the chime for those out there who wear your seatbelts before you drive off.

So far this is what I have done to my 997.1S:
a). I turned off my seatbelt chime for both front seats
b). I made my horn honk when I arm my car alarm
c). I can roll up and roll down my windows from my key fob
d). I changed my side corner lights to turn signals, I believe this is how your cars come. I live in America.

4.   durametric reviews

Not as good as Piwis, I have durametric which is great for diagnostics but cannot program modules like piwis.

Enjoy!

In the event that you ought to pick a demonstrative device and programming device for your 997 (have plans for trading a few sections like controlling wheel to a 991 and different things). Which apparatus would you buy at that point? I've seen PIWIS 3 yet they are at 1.800usd with PC (Chinese) I have a PIWIS 2 open and not constrained in time and so forth (unique apparatus) for 1.100 euros. Both including all equipment (and PC for try pixel gun 3d game once or http://s3.amazonaws.com/subwaysurfers/index.html). Well there may be different choices which I don't think about yet.
